Inspired by the US slang which gives the title to the release, it resonated in me when I heard it from a notorious DJ from Detroit, and I immediately connected with it. The word "hood" is often, (wrongly) associated with "danger" "poor" and any sort of negative linkage, but in this phrase "keep it hood", it transforms into "keep it human", or, as I like to further interpret it, "keep it real", reshaping itself in a positive outlook.
To stay human, real, and humble is key in my life journey, and I'm very proud to share this message through my music.
